Continuing Education (CE) Complaint Process

The Connecticut Society of Psychoanalytic Psychology (CSPP) is committed to providing high-quality continuing education (CE) programs and a fair and timely process for addressing participant concerns.

Submitting a Complaint

CE participants may submit a complaint concerning a CSPP-sponsored or co-sponsored CE program, including concerns related to:

  • Program content or quality

  • Instructor conduct

  • Registration or CE credit

  • Accessibility

  • Technology

  • Bias or discrimination

  • Commercial bias

  • Other matters directly related to the CE offering

This process does not apply to general CSPP membership disputes or ethics complaints against individual clinicians.

Complaints must be initiated within 30 calendar days of the CE activity and may be made verbally or in writing by contacting:

Assistant Clinical Conference Committee Chair
Cheryl Cummin

cheryl.cummin@gmail.com

What Happens Next

Your complaint will be acknowledged within 5 business days.

The Assistant Clinical Conference Committee Chair will work with you to try to address the concern informally at the program level. This may include inviting you to discuss the concern and possible resolution.

Within 20 business days of acknowledging the complaint, the matter will either be resolved informally or referred for formal review.

If your complaint is referred for formal review, you will be notified in writing. You will not need to submit a second complaint solely to begin the formal review.

A final decision will be provided within 30 business days of referral for formal review.

If additional time is needed at any stage, CSPP will notify you and provide a revised expected timeframe.
